Featured: 2024 State of Workplace Empathy

Uncovering what it looks like to put empathy into action at work

Our ninth annual State of Workplace Empathy Study reveals 55% of CEOs and 50% of employees faced mental health issues in the past year, with Gen Z reporting the highest at 65%. Toxic workplaces may be a factor, with 52% of Gen Z and CEOs also reporting their workplaces are toxic. And while all audiences surveyed value empathy and view it as a key driver of business performance, real barriers persist to putting empathy into action, including misaligned benefits and benefits confusion.

Check out part one of our 2024 State of Workplace Empathy report for insights into where empathy stands today and how to make it a priority in your organization.

Sunsetting MyChoice Market

Current coverage to terminate on July 31

After carefully considering and reviewing enrollment numbers, we are sunsetting the MyChoice Market. This complimentary service allowed offboarded employees to elect individual coverage as an alternative to COBRA and was presented as an option for the employee when they logged into Benefitsolver post-termination. Enrollment has been historically low and carrier participation evolving, therefore we will be shifting our resources and efforts to other services that drive greater value for all and sunsetting the market.

Those currently enrolled in coverage from the MyChoice Market have received notification and will have the opportunity to re-enroll in coverage directly with the carrier. All current coverages through the MyChoice Market will terminate on July 31 and access to the Market is being closed immediately to avoid any new elections.

How one client transformed their benefits experience

It’s no secret that benefits are complex—over 4 in 5 employees say they’re confused about their benefits. Half of those cite a lack of communication from their organization as one of their top issues. Sam Elliot, Head of U.S. Well-Being and Digital Health at our client, BASF, offers an inside look into the challenges many benefits teams face today: making it easy for employees to engage with their benefits.

Listen to this webinar episode from our archives to learn how Sam used a creative blend of personalization, communication, and technology, and Businessolver’s custom communications services, to meet BASF employees in the moments that matter with their benefits.
