The One Thing
Sofia UX Upgrades
A new Sofia interface is coming to Benefitsolver® to better match consumer expectations and ensure the highest level of accessibility. This new interface was developed through industry best practice and follows the latest consumer standards for virtual assistant experiences. We are excited to bring this updated UI to Benefitsolver members in March!
The new experience brings a sophisticated, modern and clean interface to users chatting with Sofia for support. While the location and icon of Sofia on the homepage will not change, once the chat experience is launched, the member will be greeted with a simplified experience focused on driving the results and answers employees need.
We anticipate making this update live in lower environments on Feb. 28 and live in production on March 14. Look for a reminder via the weekly agenda to start testing.

Benefits Insights Dashboards
Three trainings to help you understand your employees
We’re not saying that our Benefits Insights Dashboards offer you a crystal ball into the minds of your employees … but they are starting to generate some interesting and actionable information. We’re preparing to release our Service Center Trends & Performance, Mobile App Analytics, and Campaign Analytics dashboards. Come find out where to find our member advocate “kindness score” and whether your employees prefer a text message or email at our upcoming training sessions.

If you leverage the mobile app today, do not miss this training! We will walk through the various analytics that show how your employees spend their time within the mobile app and where we can increase participation. This will be a hands-on training where you can follow along while reviewing your own data in real-time.

What’s New in Compliance?

The Depts. Of Labor, HHS, and Treasury issued FAQs regarding the No Surprises Act and Gag Clause Prohibition
The Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and Treasury (the Departments) have jointly issued new frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding implementation of certain provisions of the No Surprises Act. This includes guidance related to the Gag Clause Prohibition of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (the CAA). These FAQs supplement previously provided guidance from the Departments.

Deadline approaches for Medicare Part D Creditable/Non-Creditable Coverage reporting
Group Health Plans with a calendar-year based plan year that provide Prescription Drug coverage have until March 2, 2025, to report their Creditable/Non-Creditable disclosures to CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services).
This reporting, due annually, is reported online via the CMS portal, and is to be completed:
- No later than 60 days from the beginning of a plan year (contract year, renewal year).
- Within 30 days after termination of a prescription drug plan.
- Within 30 days after any change in creditable coverage status.
