Benefitsolver Pro Tip: Spring Cleaning…for your Layout
Audit and optimize your layout
Unless you’re diving into a mid-year enrollment, it’s a great time to do some housekeeping on your layout and subsequent microsites. For a quick audit, we’d recommend reviewing your active member home layout to ensure all vendor listings are correct. Next, visit your microsites and update as needed—current spending and savings account limits, EAP updates, new vendors, wellness information, etc. Let’s help employees get the right information with the tools they have.
Another good feature to make sure you’ve added is the SofiaSM widget that brings Sofia up the page and helps members get information faster. For a deep dive into optimizing your layout, check out our (really detailed) optimization guide. That Sofia widget is on p. 11. Consult with your client team if needed to help you make upgrades.

What’s New in Compliance?

Dept. of Health and Human Services issue proposed rule with impacts to ACA, Group Health Benefits, and the Marketplace
The Department of Health and Human Services issued a proposed rule with a variety of changes to marketplace guidance that would reverse Biden-era rules. These changes impact a wide variety of marketplace plan policies including premium-billing rules, benefits enrollment process requirements, and more. The changes include guidance that would exclude “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA) recipients from the definition of “lawfully present” that is used within the regulations to determine eligibility to enroll in a Qualified Health Plan through an Exchange and receive a premium subsidy.
Additionally, the order would prohibit individual and group health plans from covering sex trait modification as an Essential Health Benefit (EHB). The stated purpose of these changes is to reduce access to subsidies and other expenses that weaken the marketplace program integrity and drive-up health plan costs.
