Check your document center for Q3 Sofia Reports
As you’re putting the finishing touches on your annual enrollment communications, or preparing for next year, be sure to check out your Q3 Sofia analytics. This report tells you how and when members are accessing Sofia—and more importantly—what plans and programs they’re asking about.
While you’re thinking about it, check your Reference Center to make sure the latest and greatest benefits guides and supporting documents are “active,” and your older materials are not. Sofia can access the Reference Center for member information, and we want her to have the best information to share. To learn more about the importance of the Reference Center and how you can optimize it, check out our Reference Center Best Practices training on demand! It’s a crowd favorite and well worth your time.
What’s New in Compliance?
Illinois expands commuter benefit requirement to include part time employees
Illinois has enacted the HB 3094 bill. It expands the Illinois Transportation Benefits Program Act to require that covered employers offer employees the ability to use pre-tax dollars to purchase a transit pass (including passes, tokens, fare cards, vouchers, and other similar items) that would allow a person to use public transit. Additionally, they added new exclusions, removing applicability to some employers in the construction industry.
This requirement previously only applied to employees working 35 or more hours per week.
Illinois employers should review the updates to HB 3094 and the full text of the original bill for additional context.
