Schedule Recurring Standard Reports

Automate the Standard Reports you rely on to eliminate repetitive scheduling tasks

Until now, admins could only schedule Standard Reports in Benefitsolver® to run one time in the future. This forced clients and client teams alike to have to manually reschedule reports needed on a regular basis.

Admins can now schedule Standard Reports on a recurring basis, using the same scheduling functionality available in Build a Report. You can schedule a report to run once, daily, or on specific days of the week. When scheduling a report, you’ll be asked to pick a start and end date. Reports can be scheduled for up to one year in the future.

By automating regularly needed Standard Reports, you can reduce manual effort, avoid missed report runs, and ensure that critical data is delivered consistently. This enhancement enables you to spend less time managing schedules and more time using the insights those reports provide.

In related news, this functionality is coming soon to Custom Reports as well. Be on the lookout for an article detailing the new functionality in our next edition of The Wire.

Want to learn more about reporting in Benefitsolver? Join us for our Data-Driven: Reporting & Analytics training on Thurs., March 26 at 11 a.m. CT. We’ll dive into the Benefits Insights Dashboard, Company Scorecard Analytics, all things Standard Reporting, and Build a Report.

Featured: Sofia℠ Coach is Driving Faster & More Accurate Member Support

Helping member advocates & admins assist members from the member record

Sofia Coach is designed to give member advocates, or you, an admin, real-time guidance while assisting a member. And it all happens on their member record right where you’d be when assisting a member. To start chatting with her, simply click on the Sofia button right by the member’s name at the top of the screen.

In that conversation, she’ll provide member advocates or admins with guidance based on the same intelligence a member would receive when chatting with Sofia. Sofia Coach will help us ensure we have accurate, consistent answers across every interaction. Plus, it will provide faster responses since both you and member advocates can access Sofia right from the member’s record.

HHS Released Updated Model Notices of Privacy Practices

Dept. of Health & Human Services (HHS) released revised Model Notices of Privacy Practices (NPPs) for HIPAA-covered health plans and health care providers to reflect changes related to substance use disorder (SUD) records under 42 CFR Part 2.

As of February 16, 2026, HIPAA covered entities must include specific information regarding the use and disclosure of Part 2 protected records in their NPPs. Federally assisted SUD programs are also required to provide updated patient notices.

If you haven’t already, now is the time to confirm your group health plan’s NPP has been updated to meet the new Part 2 requirements, as enforcement is already in effect.

The California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) issued a revised All Plan Letter (APL 25021) on February 23, 2026, providing updated guidance on implementation of Senate Bill 729. Senate Bill 729 requires large group health plan products to cover, and small group products to offer coverage for, the diagnosis and treatment of infertility.

The revised guidance clarifies lifetime limits, cryopreservation storage arrangements, and related filing requirements, and reflects the delayed effective date of January 1, 2026. These new requirements do not apply to self-insured plans or religious employers as defined by the state.
