Featured: How Is Anticipation Moving the Needle for HR?

Our 8th annual Benefits Insights Report takes a closer look at how proactive insights drive measurable results and satisfaction for HR and your employees

Personalization has hit a ceiling—HR needs insightful data, not reactionary pings. As healthcare costs continue to rise, HR teams are getting more pressure to use AI and deliver creative benefits strategies that support engagement and healthy outcomes.

The most surprising insight for us? Gen X is your organization's sleeper risk: This population is planning for surgeries, balancing caregiving, managing 4+ prescriptions, and more. We explore how to measure and address this and more in this year's report.

This year's report covers:

  • What anticipation looks like in Benefitsolver and for HR teams like you
  • Eight macro industry trends that are setting the tone for the future of HR
  • How HR can measure success through AI, insights, and employee engagement
  • Behavioral trends from enrollment to activation

Product News: Improved MyChoice® Accounts Answers from SofiaSM

Better answers to questions about dates, documentation, and payments

We’re excited to share an update that makes the member experience even better. Sofia, our virtual assistant, is now smarter when it comes to MyChoice Accounts questions—especially those involving claims details.

Now, Sofia is digging into claims data to give clearer, more helpful answers. Members can ask about things like claim status, documentation needed, and payment details, and Sofia can respond.

This means fewer follow-up questions, faster answers, and a more natural conversation for members. When needed, Sofia will still guide members to the MyChoice Accounts dashboard for more details.

States Respond to Expiration of Enhanced ACA Subsidies

Following the expiration of enhanced federal Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits at the end of 2025, several states adopted state-funded subsidy programs or other affordability measures to mitigate premium increases for individual market enrollees. These actions are generally administered through state-run marketplaces or insurance agencies.

Why it matters: Changes to individual market affordability may influence employee enrollment decisions and employer coverage strategy—particularly for employers with employees transitioning between employer-sponsored and marketplace coverage.

Employers should review the state programs in which they have employees to determine if they may impact their employee group health plan elections.

Here are a few examples of state programs created to increase affordability of marketplace plans:

Upon updated cost analyses, the Government of Canada announced increases to employer and member contribution rates under the Public Service Health Care Plan, effective April 1, 2026.

Why it matters: Employers may need to update payroll and contribution administration.
